Masquerade Ball & Costume Contest
Judges for the contest will preview and score the costumes before the dance. Participant will be involved in a costume parade and following the parade, the winners will be announced and prizes awarded.

Costume Evening Contest Guidelines: Participants will fill out a form at the dance which will include:

Name
Phone Number
Culture of Costume (Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Spiderwick Chronicles, etc)

Costumes will be judged on a scale of 1-5 in the following categories:

1. Originality or Authenticity (costume is either a faithful reproduction of a costume seen in a professional production or it is unique and designed with original components.)
2. Craftsmanship (sewing and workmanship, fit, hand dying of fabrics, aging of fabrics, beading and other fine detail work etc.)
3. Overall general appearance and presentation

Judges for the contest will call participants to an area aside from the dance where they will preview the costumes and score them. Participant will be involved in a costume parade and following the parade, the scores will be tallied and prizes awarded.
